Yusuf Ssali
Yusuf Ssali was born in Kampala on the 24 april 1983. Yusuf is a graduate of Makerere University of Kampala, in Industrial art and fine art.
Yusuf lives a life of a professional painter in Kampala. He is creative and passionate with a style of his own. He has a place amongst Kampala’s prolific artists, and is set to make his mark on international scene.
Yusuf made his debut in joint exhibitions in Uganda and Neighbouring Kenya-in 1998. He has held numerous solo and joint exhibitions since, in Eastern Africa. He has also exhibited in Denmark and the United States of America in 2006. In 2007 he has taken part in the prestigious Dar es Salaam international exhibition in Tanzania; the function takes place every two years and exhibits contemporary art from the four corners of the globe.
In December 2007 Yusuf and other Ugandan Artists held an exhibition in Brussels for the first time. The colourful exhibition was much appreciated. Yusuf continues to spin his web into the world of contemporary art, this time he comes to you in Natta polish gallery, rue de la Madeleine 17 in his solo exhibition ”colour and soul”. Yours to behold.
