Most canvases of Ostap Patyk are speaking with specific lightness,rarely combined with uncatchable spontaneous dynamics and emotional sensitiveness.His creative style successfully adapts artistic principals from impressionism and very popular in our times numerous expressionistic tendencies.The artist mostly keeps up to figurative composition,loves to work at "plein air",nevertheless, any motiv gets its unique quality,bright personal performance.While looking at his works one gets dynamic vision,certain hint of the real forms and at the same time feels the hidden depths with the full gamme of associations. Ostap Patyk works quickly,consiously using tonal and colourfull valeurs while catching certain tuning,nature,state.His refined mood one feels and sees everywhere: in delicate silhouettes,his complicity of colours,lightness of brush and freshness of palette.Among his works one finds still lifes,portraits,landscapes as well as colourfull ornamental compositions inspired by national folk arts.
Thanks to his particular emotional qualities the artist's canvases get an impression of lightness and slightly unfineshed "l'air" as if giving room to observer.
In the studio of Ostap hangs a big map of Europe.He is keen on travelling,learning new countries,finding fresh ideas and new colleagues.Being a participant of numerous international " plein airs" he feels himself a part of european borderless creative space.
